Job Description

CDM Health and Safety Consultant required to join a well-established, dedicated Construction Health, Safety, and CDM Consultancy. You will join an established, growing team, delivering the Principal Designer role, providing CDM advice for clients, and construction safety advice for contractors on a variety of challenging and interesting construction projects, predominantly across the South East region.

Responsibilities include:

1. Health and safety assurance services to clients and projects
2. Early engagement with stakeholders
3. Briefings on best practices
4. Ensuring works adhere to client health and safety management procedures (including asbestos), best practices, and safety regulations
5. Review and approval of RAMS
6. Advising on health and safety competence of supply chain
7. Site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to monitor construction projects
8. Reviewing and providing inductions
9. Managing day-to-day contractor health and safety matters, interfaces, permit issues, etc.
10. Representing clients at health and safety meetings
11. Providing ongoing health and safety advice, support, guidance, and mentoring to clients
12. Delivering CDM/health and safety briefings and training to clients and key project members as required
13. Reporting on CDM/health and safety performance monitoring

Experience:

The position is available at Consultant or Senior Consultant grade, depending on experience. Each grade offers a progression plan towards promotion, pay rises, and increased responsibilities. Previous construction-related experience and qualifications are beneficial.

Qualifications:

You will hold or be working towards CMaPS and/or CMIOSH qualifications.

The role offers a salary of £55k-£65k plus car allowance, pension, and healthcare.
