CorporateData & Analytics designs, builds, and maintains the data platforms that keep our business running. We manage the reporting tools, data pipelines, and analytics systems relied on across the company every day. Our work covers Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BI platforms, data engineering tooling, and reliability processes—all with a focus on stability, modernization, and continuous improvement.
This role plays a key part in keeping these platforms healthy, reliable, and continuously evolving.
We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer who can act as a trusted technical partner to our team. The role combines hands‑on engineering with solution design and rapid prototyping of new data products and services; all with a strong focus on AI‑led development.
You will help shape the future state of our data ecosystem by designing and implementing data solutions, evaluating tools and approaches, and helping translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Corporate Data & Analytics, IT, and the wider business to identify opportunities, validate concepts, and deliver high‑value data capabilities.
In addition to design and delivery responsibilities, you will provide technical support and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our BigQuery, Airbyte, Prefect, dbt, AI, and analytics platforms.
This is a site‑based role; employees work 3+ days (60%+) per week from the London Viasat office within a standard five‑day workweek.
