Motivated and forward-thinking, you'll be central to protecting our residents, businesses, and visitors while ensuring the Council remains fully compliant with national Codes of Practice and the legal requirements around CCTV use. It\'s not just about managing cameras, it\'s about leading change, driving efficiencies, and making sure we provide a modern, cost-effective service that meets the needs of the city today and in the future. This is a part time position working 18.5 hours per week on a job share basis. Working pattern can be discussed at interview and agreed with the successful candidate. You\'ll be based in our CCTV Control Room in the city centre.
As our CCTV Services Manager, no two days will be the same. Steering the delivery of corporate CCTV monitoring services, you\'ll ensure resources, staff, and contracts are managed effectively. Leading a skilled team of staff and contracted providers, you\'ll set clear expectations, drive performance, and ensure the service meets its commitments to the community. You\'ll manage the service budget, delivering high-quality operations within agreed financial frameworks, ensuring cost savings and improved efficiency. You\'ll oversee compliance with legal frameworks by carrying out inspections of CCTV installations and advise on the operational viability of new projects. You\'ll oversee codes of practice, and transparency agendas relating to CCTV operations, ensuring our platforms and monitoring are fit for the future. Representing the Council at meetings, you\'ll work closely with Police, commercial organisations and partners, as well as negotiate with Council divisions and contractors to agree service levels, priorities and contributions.
You\'ll bring both professional expertise and the right personal approach. With strong leadership and people management experience, you\'ll be able to get the best out of teams and contractors. You\'ll have a proven track record of managing budgets and delivering services within financial constraints. Proactive, with a solutions-focused mindset and someone who can anticipate challenges to deliver results, you\'ll drive change and improve services without compromising quality. Using excellent communication and negotiation skills, you\'ll be able to work with internal divisions, senior managers, external partners, and community stakeholders. You\'ll have a solid understanding of CCTV operations, compliance requirements, and national Codes of Practice. Above all, you\'ll be committed to upholding the highest standards of service, governance and accountability, with a genuine passion for using CCTV to make our city safer and stronger.
As well as the satisfaction of helping to improve thousands of lives across Leicester, you can look forward to a work environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance. You\'ll enjoy generous annual leave, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and the option of flexible working.
