Job description

MAN Commercial Protection is seeking CCTV Control Room Operators for one of the largest control rooms in the UK, covering over 2500 cameras across the West Midlands.

Shift Pattern and Timings

4 on 4 off night shifts, from 17:45 to 05:45.

Pay Rate

£12.60 per hour.

Coverage

Primarily focusing on West Midlands Transport, with additional coverage of towns and city centres around the West Midlands.

Main Responsibilities
  • Patrol cameras throughout the West Midlands.
  • Assist emergency services during live incidents.
  • Support police by searching and saving footage for investigations.
  • Handle incidents for the local council Out of Hours, liaising with social services and other organizations to assist the public.
  • Communicate with local town hosts and shops via radio.
  • Respond to emergency calls from the public via help points in the control room.
  • Update the public through social media regarding West Midlands developments.
  • Process email requests for footage and information.
  • Coordinate with Highways England on traffic management.
  • Manage alarm calls across the West Midlands.
Requirements
  • Essential: CCTV Badge.
  • Advantages: Dual Badge.
  • Strong communication, literacy, and IT skills (Microsoft products).
  • Excellent phone manner and team player attitude.
  • Polite and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Full 5-year checkable work/education history.
