Job summary

OnSite Swindon is seeking a proactive Survey Assistant to join our field operations team. You will assist the lead surveyor with CCTV drainage surveys and jetting works across domestic, commercial and public infrastructure, while helping with equipment setup, maintenance and accurate reporting.

You will record findings on pipe conditions, blockages and defects, support risk assessments, and help keep vehicles and gear clean and ready for use.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required or willingness to obtain
• Confined Space Training advantageous but can be provided
• Street Works (NRSWA) certification desirable
• Experience in drainage, construction, or utilities beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead surveyor in CCTV drainage surveys and jetting works
• Support setup, operation and maintenance of surveying equipment
• Record survey findings (pipe condition, blockages, defects, structural issues)
• Assist in producing survey reports, sketches and logs
• Carry out basic drain cleaning and unblocking tasks when required
• Ensure health and safety compliance including risk assessments and PPE
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, tools and equipment
• Assist with traffic management and on-site setup
• Communicate effectively with team, clients and supervisors
