Ipsum is seeking a CCTV Drainage Engineer to join our field team covering projects across the UK. You will operate CCTV systems, survey drainage networks, assess conditions and prepare high-quality reports for clients. This role demands accurate data collection, safe work practices and clear client communication.

The position offers full-time, permanent hours with overtime opportunities and a clear path for professional qualifications and career progression.

Competenze

• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience performing CCTV drainage surveys and reporting findings.
• Familiarity with WinCan or similar reporting software.

Mansioni

• Operate CCTV equipment to inspect drainage networks and capture data.
• Identify blockages, defects and infiltration during surveys.
• Produce clear, professional survey reports with recommendations.
• Communicate results to clients and internal teams.
• Ensure work complies with health and safety rules and company policies.
• Maintain and calibrate CCTV kit to ensure accuracy and reliability.

About the role…

Working from one of our custom-equipped CCTV vans, you will visit all types of clients - commercial, residential, industrial, rail, road, utility, etc. -?across the UK. You will carry out CCTV surveys of drainage systems, assess pipe conditions, analyse results, and produce high quality reports. All this in conjunction with our Jetting Units when required, therefore you will be responsible for all site activity ensuring the team are working safely and efficiently and ensuring that work is completed within the required timescale.

As a CCTV Drainage Engineer you will…

• Operating CCTV equipment to conduct detailed inspections of drainage systems.?
• Identifying and diagnosing issues such as blockages, structural defects, and infiltration.?
• Producing accurate reports and recommendations based on survey findings.?
• Liaising with clients and internal teams to communicate results and proposed solutions.?
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.?
• Maintaining and calibrating CCTV equipment to ensure optimal performance.?
• Keeping detailed records of inspections and maintenance activities.?
• Towing jetting equipment when required

About you…

Desirable Qualifications & Professional Memberships:?

• Valid driving licence.?
• Confined space entry certification.?
• High-pressure water jetting certification.?

?Desirable Knowledge & Experience:?

• Experience in conducting CCTV drainage surveys.?
• Familiarity with industry-standard reporting software (e.g.,WinCan).?
• Knowledge of drainage systems and common issues affecting their performance.?
