An exciting opportunity to join our vibrant team has arisen. We are currently seeking individuals to join our Security (CCTV) Team at our busy shopping destination, where our customer-facing vision is to ‘Create Smiles and Breathe Kindness’ for every visitor.

We would love to hear from you if you have excellent customer service skills and experience in Security (CCTV). However, we will invest in training for the right person if your experience is yet to be gained.

Purpose of the Role

This role is the main communication vehicle for the site relating to emergency situations, routine monitoring of all safety/fire/life safety systems, car parks, interior and exterior for The Mall, exterior for Retail Parks, and Venue Entertainment Complex.

Duties and Responsibilities

This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:

1. Monitor CCTV systematically to ensure safety of the public, staff, and contractors. Communicate and manage the FM Radio System.
2. Monitor all life safety systems, including fire alarms, intruder systems, sprinkler systems, etc.
3. Initiate actions to protect life and property as required, including evacuations and search plans.
4. Answer and direct inquiries via Intercom and Telephone Systems professionally.
5. Control access to Loading Areas and the Control Suite.
6. Accurately record events, incidents, and evacuations in the occurrence book.
7. Manage on-site contractors.
8. Provide proactive, personalized service to visitors, retailers, and contractors within The Mall and surrounding sites.
9. Be observant and take action to ensure a safe shopping environment.
10. Resolve problems courteously and effectively.
11. Manage traffic within car parks and interior road systems, deploying resources to reduce congestion.
12. Perform site patrols as required.
13. Undertake First Aid at Work training as needed.
14. Comply with all security rules and safety procedures.
15. Perform manual handling duties (not exceeding 20kgs).
16. Other duties as assigned by senior staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educated to GCSE or NVQ Level 3 standard.
• Valid SIA Public Space Surveillance Licence.
• First Aid at Work Certificate.
• SIA Guarding or Door Supervisors Licence.
• Experience in a similar environment.
• Strong relationship management skills across diverse groups.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with initiative and responsibility.
• Flexible and adaptable approach.
• Attention to detail and presentation skills.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
