Are you a registered CBT Therapist or Psychologist with a passion for providing exceptional care?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Psychological Therapist to join our well-established and dynamic Hospital Liaison Psychiatry service, to cover maternity leave for a fixed term. This is a key role within the senior clinical team within the Liaison service.

It is a fantastic time to join the Liaison Psychiatry service as we are developing our services to CORE24!

We welcome applications from recently qualified Trainee CBT therapists/Clinical Psychologists for a Band 7 role. Please read the relevant Band 7 or 8a job description and person specification, depending on your qualifications and experience.

Role Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality assessment and brief interventions focusing on individuals in distress related to mental and physical health conditions.
  • Offering consultation, supervision, facilitation of reflective practice, and staff training within a multidisciplinary hospital team.
  • Supporting the development of your own practice while helping the team deliver high-quality, accessible services that meet patient and public expectations.

About the Service

The Liaison Psychiatry service offers mental health advice and assessments to patients in general hospitals across Kent and Medway, supporting holistic care that considers both mental and physical health.

Qualifications and Experience

You should hold a postgraduate CBT qualification with BABCP registration or a doctorate-level or equivalent BPS-approved qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration. Experience supporting individuals in acute distress across various clinical settings is essential.

  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes (unless disabled as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
