We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Psychological Therapist to join our well-established and dynamic Hospital Liaison Psychiatry service, to cover maternity leave for a fixed term. This is a key role within the senior clinical team within the Liaison service.

As a CBT therapist or Clinical Psychologist in our Liaison Service, you will be responsible for offering high-quality assessments and brief interventions, focusing on individuals in distress related to mental and physical health conditions.
This role offers variety and opportunities for consultation, supervision of practitioners, facilitation of reflective practice, and teaching staff within the multidisciplinary hospital team.
You will have ample scope and support to develop your practice while helping the team provide flexible, high-quality services that ensure quick, effective access and meet patient, carer, and public expectations.
The Liaison psychiatry service provides mental health advice and support to individuals receiving care at general hospitals in Kent and Medway. Hospital staff can refer anyone over 18 attending A&E or admitted on a medical or surgical ward. The team offers advice, support, or full mental and psychological health assessments as appropriate. This holistic approach ensures effective care by considering both physical and mental health collaboratively.

You will need a postgraduate specialist CBT qualification with BABCP registration or a doctorate-level or equivalent BPS-approved qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration. Experience in diverse clinical settings supporting individuals in acute distress is essential.
The post requires a full, valid UK driving license and access to a car/vehicle for work purposes, unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
