Job summary

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a CBT therapist for the Sutton Early Intervention for Psychosis team. The post is a 3‑day-a-week fixed-term role (till July 2027) providing psychological therapies to people aged 18–65 with a first episode of psychosis in Sutton.

You will work in a supportive multidisciplinary team with senior psychologists and other CBT therapists, with opportunities to develop family interventions for psychosis and contribute to a CBT-based

Qualifications

• BABCP accreditation or eligible for accreditation
• Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in CBT required
• Qualifying profession in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, clinical/counselling psychology

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist CBT assessments for individuals referred to the early intervention service.
• Design and implement CBT treatment plans based on evidence-based frameworks.
• Deliver individual CBT, group, and family interventions as appropriate.
• Evaluate treatment options and adapt plans using CBT models and risk considerations.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and provide CBT guidance to colleagues.
