Person Specification

  • Education/Qualifications: Doctoral Clinical/Counselling Psychology with BABCP accreditation or working towards this. Or, registered health professional and BABCP Accredited.
  • Assessed experience of working as a qualified CBT therapist or experience of working in mental health delivering CBT treatment.

Location

Situated in the north of Bristol, near Bradley Stoke and Patchway, accessible by car, bus, and train. The Bristol Hospital (Stapleton, M32) is a Grade II listed building offering extensive grounds, free on-site parking, and a range of mental health services across seven wards.

Position

We are seeking to recruit a CBT Therapist to cover both our Bristol Park Clinic and Bristol Hospital. This is a full-time, permanent role providing high-quality psychological therapy services.

Main Duties

  • Provide CBT assessment, formulation, and treatment to clients in the outpatient team.
  • Collaborate with relevant professionals as appropriate.
  • Communicate assessment, formulation, and treatment plans sensitively to clients.
  • Undertake risk assessment and management of service users.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver CBT-based assessment, formulation, and treatment for individuals with mental health difficulties.
  • Manage a clinical caseload in accordance with operational policies.
  • Attend monthly clinical supervision to develop skills and promote clinical excellence.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical governance, including documentation.

Person Specification (Repeated)

  • Educational qualifications as above.
  • Experience as a qualified CBT therapist or in mental health CBT delivery.
  • Ability to deliver interventions to diverse clients.
