Job summary

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners to join an Arun (Bognor) NMHT. You will deliver CBT-informed, time-limited interventions within a supportive MDT and receive supervision while contributing to innovative wellbeing programs.

Applicants should have the MHWP qualification pathway and be registered to practice in the UK. The role emphasizes compassionate care, professional development, and collaboration across services.

Qualifications

• Graduate certificate/postgraduate certificate in MHWP with supervised practice.
• Registered MHWP on a recognised professional register.
• Experience delivering CBT-based, time-limited interventions within NHS settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychologically informed interventions aligned to CBT principles.
• Assess suitability and plan care with service users.
• Risk assess and set collaborative goals with service users.
• Use pre and post outcome measures to track progress.
• Maintain professional relationships and support service users with autonomy and culture.
• Engage with service users empathetically, even in distress.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication.
• Lead professional for a service user when appropriate.
• Attend regular clinical supervision.
• Collaborate with families, carers and MDT members in care decisions.

Education

Graduate (Level 6) Certificate in Mental Health Wellbeing Practice

Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Wellbeing Practice

MHWP professional registration

CBT-based interventions
