Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a data-focused professional to apply causal inference to understand and improve Customer Lifetime Value (CLV). You will design experiments, analyse large datasets, and work with cross-functional teams to embed insights into decision-making.

The role requires strong statistics, Python and SQL proficiency, and experience with causal methods such as PSM, DiD, and causal forests.

Qualifications

• Experience applying causal inference techniques in commercial, product, marketing, or research environments.
• Strong foundation in statistics.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with statistical libraries.

Responsibilities

• Apply causal inference methods to measure incremental impact on Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
• Design and interpret experiments, quasi-experiments, and observational studies.
• Support frameworks for measuring incremental CLV, uplift, and causal impact across initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for causal measurement to improve decisions.
• Analyse large-scale datasets to quantify drivers of player value and their causal impact.
• Use techniques like propensity score matching, diff‑in‑differences, causal forests, and synthetic controls where appropriate.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to embed causal insights in decision-making.
• Translate analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to evolution of PlayStation’s CLV framework with causal approaches.
