Job summary

Caterlink, a leading education sector catering specialist, is seeking a Relief Catering Assistant to cover Exeter and Torbay areas. The role is mobile, term-time only with 38 weeks per year and no weekends, offering flexibility for those with their own transport.

You will support site teams, assist the Catering Manager with food preparation to client standards, and contribute to maintaining food safety and paperwork integrity while helping manage inventories and budgets at each location.

Responsibilities

• To help the Catering Manager prepare and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans

Job Description

We are hiring for a Relief Catering Assistant to provide cover in the Exeter and Torbay area to support our existing site-based teams. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

This role will be a mobile-based role so you will therefore need to have your own transport.

The role:

• £12.71per hour
• 15 hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 38weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To help the Catering Manager prepare and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
