Job Opportunity: General Manager

We are hiring for a General Manager to lead our secondary school catering team, ensuring future generations receive nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term-time only and involves no weekends, offering great flexibility.

The Role:
  • Up to £32,000 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
  • Term-time only – working 195 weeks per year
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to standards required by Caterlink and the client
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation
  • Enhance the company’s reputation for excellent food and service, exceeding client and customer expectations
  • Manage the daily operations of the location, supervise teams, oversee inventories, monitor budgets, and implement action plans
  • Serve as the main contact for the school client, recommending and implementing improvements
  • Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
  • Support and train teams, leading from the front to ensure all training is completed and performance is managed

Qualifications:
