Job Description

We are hiring a Chef Manager in the Reading Contract Area who is passionate about providing nutritionally balanced and tasty food to future generations. This role is term-time only with no weekends, offering great flexibility.

The role includes:

• £13.00 per hour
• 25/30 hours per week, Monday – Friday
• Full-time, 52-week contract

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to Caterlink and client standards
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation
• Enhancing the company’s reputation for excellent food and service by exceeding client and customer expectations
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
• Serving as the main point of contact for the school client, recommending and implementing improvements
• Communicating regularly with line managers to monitor KPIs and financial targets
• Supporting and training team members, leading by example to ensure role excellence, completing all necessary training, and managing performance
