Job Description

We are hiring a Chef Manager at Tollgate Primary School, Plaistow. This role ensures our future generations receive nutritionally balanced and tasty food. It is term-time only and offers a flexible schedule with no weekends.

The Role

• £18.00 per hour
• 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – 39 weeks per year

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to Caterlink and client standards
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and company health, safety, food safety, and environmental regulations
• Enhancing the company's reputation through excellent food and service, exceeding client and customer expectations
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
• Acting as the primary contact for the school client, recommending and implementing improvements
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
• Supporting and training team members, leading performance management and training initiatives
