Job summary

Caterlink, the education sector catering specialist, is hiring a Chef at Orchard Primary School in the UK. The role is term-time only, with 23.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday at £13.70 per hour, across 39 weeks per year.

You will prepare, cook and present meals to Caterlink and client standards, ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures are followed, and support the location’s day-to-day running with inventories and budgeting, helping to maintain the company’s reputation for

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans

Job Description

We are hiring a Chef at Orchard Primary School who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £13.70per hour
• 23.50 hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 39weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
