The company caters to more than 1,000,000 meals a week. Job Description

We are hiring a Catering Manager at Darite Primary School, Darite - Liskeard, to ensure our future generations receive nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term-time only, with no weekends, offering great flexibility.

The role includes:

  • £13.35 per hour
  • 22.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
  • Term-time only – 39 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to Caterlink and client standards
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation
  • Enhancing the company's reputation through excellent food and service, exceeding client and customer expectations
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
  • Acting as the main contact for the school client, recommending and implementing improvements
  • Communicating regularly with line management to monitor KPIs and financial targets
  • Supporting and training teams, leading by example to ensure role excellence, completing training, and managing performance
