Job description

We are hiring for a Catering Manager at Looe Primary School who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends, making it ideal for those seeking flexibility.

The role includes:

  • £13.35 per hour
  • 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Term-time only – 39 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
  • Ensuring the location meets statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislations
  • Enhancing the company's reputation for excellent food and service with clients and customers, exceeding expectations
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
  • Acting as the main contact for the school, recommending and implementing improvements
  • Regular communication with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
  • Supporting and training team members to excel in their roles, ensuring all training is completed and performance is managed
