Job summary

Caterlink Ltd is hiring an Assistant Chef at St Thomas of Canterbury RC in Mitcham. The role focuses on preparing and cooking meals to keep high quality and presentation, while maintaining excellent customer service and food safety standards.

The position is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (38 weeks per year). You will be involved in planning, briefing kitchen teams on menus, and supporting efficient service for students.

Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Chef at St Thomas of Canterbury RC, in Mitcham who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards. The role:

• £14.80 per hour
• 25 hours per week working Monday - Friday
• Term-time only - working 38 weeks per year

You will assist with all planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard and you will ensure that the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers. Other tasks will include briefing kitchen teams on menus and service, ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously and carry out company bookwork.
