Job summary

Caterlink is looking for an Assistant Chef at St Augustine Academy in Maidstone to ensure nutritionally balanced and tasty meals for pupils while upholding high food safety standards and service quality.

You will plan, prepare and cook meals, brief kitchen teams on menus, and maintain excellent food and customer service. The role is term-time only (39 weeks/year), 30 hours per week, with pay up to £15.00 per hour, plus development opportunities through apprenticeships and on-the-job training.

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Chef at St Augustine Academy, in Maidstonewho wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards.

• Up to £15.00per hour
• 30hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 39weeks per year

You will assist with all planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard and you will ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers. Other tasks will include briefing kitchen teams on menus and service, ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously and carry out company bookwork.
