Caterlink is seeking an Assistant Chef at Heybridge Primary School in Maldon to provide nutritionally balanced, tasty meals for students. The role requires an organised, hardworking and passionate individual focused on food quality, presentation and service, with strong customer service and high food safety standards.

The successful candidate will assist with planning, preparing and cooking meals to the required standard, brief kitchen teams on menus, and ensure food safety and health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing and cooking meals for children, prioritising balanced nutrition.
• Knowledge of food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Organised, hard-working, and passionate about serving students.

Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Chef at Heybridge Primary school in Maldon who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards.

The role:

• £12.95 per hour
• 30 hours per week working Monday – Friday 8am - 2pm
• Term-time only

You will assist with all planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard and you will ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers. Other tasks will include briefing kitchen teams on menus and service, ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously and carry out company bookwork.
