Job summary

Caterlink is seeking an Assistant Chef for Heybridge Primary School in Maldon to deliver nutritionally balanced, tasty meals for students. You will be organized, hardworking and passionate about high food quality, presentation and service.

You will assist with planning, preparing and cooking to required standards, supervise kitchen teams on menus, ensure strict food safety and health and safety procedures, and handle basic kitchen paperwork. Term-time only, 30 hours weekly, 8am–2pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering for children is beneficial.
• Ability to plan, prepare and cook meals to required standard.

Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Chef at Heybridge Primary school in Maldon who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards.

The role:

£12.95 per hour

30 hours per week working Monday - Friday 8am - 2pm

Term-time only

You will assist with all planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard and you will ensure that the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers. Other tasks will include briefing kitchen teams on menus and service, ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously and carry out company bookwork.
