Job summary

Response in Oxford is seeking a compassionate Supported Housing Catering Assistant to support residents with nutrition and wellbeing. The role offers a part-time schedule (26.25 hours/week) at Rowan House, Littlemore, with training and opportunities to contribute to meal planning and resident engagement.

You will work to ensure safe, nutritious meals and a welcoming environment, with support for dietary needs and recovery-focused care.

Qualifications

Experience in catering or care setting is welcomed; training provided.
Passionate about supporting people and wellbeing.
Confident in working with residents in supported housing environments.

Responsibilities

Cook and serve daily Apetito meals.
Prepare lunch and supper, including meals not provided by Apetito.
Support person-centred meal choices and dietary needs.
Give daily feedback to the team about resident engagement and wellbeing.
Maintain infection control and food safety standards.
Assist with menu planning, food ordering and meal invoicing.
Support residents who volunteer in the kitchen, following care plans and safety guidance.
Report progress or concerns to Key Workers and Managers.
