Job summary

Protocol is seeking a Catering Tutor to deliver vocational catering qualifications at HMP Belmarsh, London. You will teach practical kitchen-based training to small groups in a secure education setting, developing learners’ skills, qualifications, and workplace behaviours for progression.

The role requires Level 2 Catering qualification, substantial vocational catering experience, and current capability to train and assess.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Catering qualification or equivalent.
• Significant vocational experience within the catering, hospitality, or food service industry.
• Experience delivering vocational training, coaching, mentoring, or workplace instruction.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver catering and hospitality qualifications to learners.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and practical kitchen-based training.

• Ensure training records and learner documentation are completed accurately.

Are you an experienced catering professional looking to share your expertise and make a real difference?

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Catering Tutor to deliver vocational catering qualifications within HMP Belmarsh. The Role

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Level 2 Catering qualification or equivalent.
• Significant vocational experience within the catering, hospitality, or food service industry.
• Experience delivering vocational training, coaching, mentoring, or workplace instruction.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning.

Desirable

• Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, CET, DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Assessor qualification.
• Experience within Further Education, Adult Education, Work-Based Learning, Apprenticeships, or Prison Education.
