If so, we want to hear from you!We are looking for a Technical Manager from a Catering background to lead and manage catering systems, equipment, and operations across various facilities in Newcastle.
This is an exciting opportunity for an expert to bring their technical knowledge and leadership abilities to ensure optimal performance, compliance, and safety across all catering-related systems.What You’ll Do: * Lead a Skilled Team: Manage and guide a team of catering engineers, ensuring they follow best practices for equipment installation, maintenance, and repair. * Oversee System Efficiency: Ensure that all catering equipment and systems (e.g., ovens, refrigeration, dishwashers, HVAC) are regularly maintained, tested, and running efficiently. * Drive Energy Efficiency: Implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and lower operational costs while maintaining high-quality service standards. * Project Management: Oversee catering system installations, upgrades, and refurbishments, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. * Ensure Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and relevant environmental legislation related to catering equipment and systems. * Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Diagnose complex technical issues with catering equipment and systems, providing hands-on support when needed.What We’re Looking For: * Experience: At least 5 years of experience in catering equipment management, facilities management, or a related field. * Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of catering systems and equipment, including commercial kitchen appliances, refrigeration, ventilation, and HVAC systems. * Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and developing a team of technical staff in a catering or facilities management environment. * Qualifications: HNC/HND in Catering, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Catering-related qualifications ). * Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently. * Health & Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and safe working practices in a catering environment.This is your chance to step into a leadership role and make a real impact in a growing company.
