Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. in Coventry is seeking a General Assistant for a part-time, permanent role. The position involves serving customers, maintaining clean service areas, and supporting the team across food preparation and basic catering duties.

You will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, at a rate of £12.71 per hour, with benefits including meals on duty and opportunities for training and development within a leading contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
• Ability to demonstrate verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience in customer or food prep environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks and cleaning.
• Prepare service areas for each day’s business.
• Set up, serve, clear, clean and store away food, beverages or equipment for functions.
• Prepare basic food for sale following hygiene and safety standards.
• Restock and replenish during service to meet customer needs.
• Dispose of rubbish correctly and keep areas tidy.
• Be prepared for occasional evenings or weekends for events.
• Ensure food standards and wastage controls are followed.
• Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen controls.
