As a Catering Supervisor, you will support the Catering Manager and Head Cook in delivering high-quality catering services across the Acute site. You will supervise staff, maintain food safety standards, and ensure efficient daily operations. This includes overseeing food preparation and service for patients, staff, and visitors--covering a range of dietary needs including special and ethnic diets.
About You
Knowledge of food safety standards and special dietary requirements.
Experience in a catering or hospitality role
Enthusiasm for working in a busy team environment.
Flexible and proactive approach to service delivery.
Reporting into the Catering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Oversee catering staff and daily food production, ensuring safe and high-quality service.
Plan and cost menus where required, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained.
Maintain high cleanliness standards across all areas of the Catering department.
Support food safety compliance and quality assurance procedures.
Monitor daily workloads and staffing to meet service demands.
Engage with patients, staff, and visitors to provide a positive catering experience.
Help with broader support services when needed to maintain service continuity.
Contribute to team leadership, motivation, and performance improvement.

Please note that Sheffield Children's uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is £12.60 per hour.
