Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Catering professional to lead our kitchen team at Cotmanhay Junior School.

As Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the kitchen, including preparation, cooking, service, and clerical duties via a digital management system. Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed is essential, as the safety of our customers is our priority. We aim to create positive lunchtime experiences, so an attitude appropriate to the school environment is vital.

Qualifications & Experience

Ideally, you will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or possess relevant experience, along with a sound knowledge of Health & Safety and a Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

Salary: The starting salary within the grade is negotiable depending on your current salary, experience, or qualifications.

Interview Date: Provisional date in June 2025.

As this role involves access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
