An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to work as a Relief Catering Supervisor at Ada Belfield, a 40-bedded Residential Home for Older Adults with a cafeteria serving 30+ covers open to the public.
The post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of this busy kitchen, including health and safety, food hygiene, food preparation, cooking, service, ordering, bookwork, and monitoring and recording.
You should have comprehensive catering experience and good communication skills. The role involves supporting specialist dietary requirements, menu planning, and maintaining portion and cost control, with a focus on presentation and customer service.
Minimum qualifications include City & Guilds 706/1 level/NVQ Level II or relevant experience, a sound knowledge of Health and Safety, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will lead the Catering team to deliver high-quality, freshly prepared food tailored to individual nutritional and dietary needs, promoting the café as a vibrant community resource.

The role may involve unsocial hours, including weekends and bank holidays, with pay arrangements specified in the contract.
Saturday and Sunday hours are paid at standard rates unless between 7pm-7am, where enhanced rates apply. Bank holiday working also attracts enhanced rates.
