Job description

The Catering Department at Wrexham Maelor Hospital provide meals, snacks and beverages to patients, staff and visitors.

The Catering supervisor is a key member of the team and has responsibility for carrying a range of duties related to food production and service in a busy kitchen environment.

The Catering Supervisor will be working closely with Catering Co-ordinator and managers to ensure that Catering services meet relevant nutritional and dietary requirements arising from clinical, religious and cultural needs.

Main duties of the job

The Catering Supervisor responsibilities will include:

  • Catering Supervisors provide supervision of staff
  • Ensuring a clean safe environment is maintained

The Catering Supervisor needs to have good teamwork, leadership, communication and organisational skills. They need to be self-motivated, be able to work unsupervised, have a flexible approach to shift alterations and have a friendly and professional approach.

Working hours between 6.30am to 8.00pm, rate of pay £12.53 enhanced pay at weekends Saturday £16.86 and Sunday £21.18.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
