Weekend Café Supervisor
Huddersfield Leisure Centre
16hrs Per Week (Saturday & Sunday) midweek overtime available
£12.75ph
Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and proactive Weekend Supervisor to lead our café operations during weekends. This role involves supervising front-of-house service, supporting light kitchen duties, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all leisure centre visitors.
Key Responsibilities

  • Front of House:
  • Lead and support the café team during weekend shifts.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring all guests have a positive experience.
  • Operate the till, handle cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café area.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with restocking as needed.
  • Kitchen Duties:
  • Prepare and serve light meals, snacks, and beverages in line with food safety standards.
  • Assist with basic food prep and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
  • Supervisory Duties:
  • Open and close the café, following correct procedures.
  • Delegate tasks and support team members during busy periods.
  • Handle minor customer complaints or escalate as necessary.
  • Ensure health & safety and food hygiene regulations are followed.


Person Specification

  • Essential:
  • Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or customer service role.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge.
  • Desirable:
  • Supervisory experience in a similar environment.
