A local council in the UK seeks a Catering Assistant to prepare and cook meals for pupils while ensuring dietary standards are maintained. This role involves planning services, training staff, and collaborating closely with management. Candidates must demonstrate strong people skills, a passion for food and customer service, and hold relevant food safety certifications. Working 30 hours per week (Monday – Friday during term time, approx. 7:30am–2:00pm; hours to be confirmed to include 3 cleaning days, 3 training days and teacher training days). Cityserve is a Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchens across the UK. Healthy eating is a continuous theme throughout all menus and the organisation is committed to the wellbeing of pupils. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, delivers excellent customer service and can motivate and support team members.
