A renowned educational institution seeks a dynamic Catering Services Manager for its busy kitchen at Ysgol Penglais School. The role involves leading staff to provide healthy meals, maintain safety standards, and drive the culinary team's success. Please note the salary advertised is based on a full-time equivalent and includes a market supplement payment of £5,500 per annum. This supplement has been agreed for the academic year 2025/26 and will be reviewed annually. If withdrawn, the salary will revert to Grade 8, currently £30,559 – £32,624 full-time equivalent.
As the position requires working 41 weeks per year, with a weekly schedule of 32.5 hours from 7.30am to 2.30pm, the actual gross salary is £29,877.58 (£24,377.58 + £5,500 market premium).
The salary is subject to a pending pay award, and final amounts will be adjusted accordingly.

Key qualities include strategic planning, effective staff management, good relations with students, a commitment to positive health outcomes aligned with Welsh Government policies and the school’s curriculum, and enthusiasm for providing quality catering services. Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential.
