Job summary

The Kitchen Porter/Stores Assistant role within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust supports the efficient operation of the catering service across hospital facilities. You will handle deliveries, stock rotation and food safety compliant storage for patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in kitchens, stores, cold rooms and refrigeration areas, monitoring temperatures and assisting with basic food preparation and service when required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries, ensuring accuracy against orders and goods received notes.
• Store goods safely and in order, maintaining stock rotation and food safety standards.
• Operate dishwashing and pan-washing equipment and maintain cleanliness of kitchens and stores.
• Monitor refrigerator/freezer temperatures and support basic food preparation and service as required.
