Overview

You will be responsible for all catering activities within the unit including menu planning, cooking and baking, stock control, maintaining budgetary targets, administration, supervision and training of staff.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all catering activities within the unit, including menu planning, cooking and baking, and stock control.
  • Maintain budgetary targets, administer operations, supervise staff, and provide training as required.
  • Ensure effective administration and coordination of daily activities within the unit.
Qualifications and Experience
  • SVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds 7061/2 or equivalent qualification, or willing to work towards within 2 years.
  • Moderate relevant experience including supervisory, administration and function work, plus experience of ordering and controlling stock.
  • Good craft skills along with strong communication, numeracy and organisational skills.
  • An enthusiastic team player with a flexible and positive approach, capable of working well under pressure.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.

Work Pattern and Location
  • Post 1 (St Aidan’s High School, Wishaw) - Monday to Friday, 7.30 am till 3 pm (Term Time 38.8 weeks).
  • Post 2 (St Aidan’s Primary School, Wishaw) - Monday to Friday, 7.30 am till 3 pm (Term Time 39.8 weeks).
