Catering Manager - Milton Keynes

Up to £36,000 per annum (DOE)

Predominately Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm - however, the site is 24/7 and therefore, attendance on the weekend and night shifts will be occasionally required.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Catering Manager based at our unit in Milton Keynes. You will be providing outstanding service to staff and customers while guiding and motivating your team to excel.

Services provided include breakfast, lunch, night service, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Understand and deliver all contractual terms.
  2. Communicate any on-site client changes to line manager.
  3. Maintain regular communication with the client (as agreed).
  4. Complete action plans following client satisfaction surveys.
  5. Ensure all client hospitality is delivered to the correct standard and look to upsell to increase revenue.
  6. Implement all company promotions correctly (where applicable).
  7. Price all products accurately.
  8. Analyze and manage all in-unit costs effectively.
  9. Monitor and manage gross profit (GP).
  10. Accurately record and maintain cost and sales records.
  11. Record and minimize food wastage.
  12. Support, train, coach, and develop the team.
  13. Monitor labour turnover and ensure the team is fully recruited.
  14. Implement and review all relevant HSE procedures within the unit.
  15. Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to the required standards and portion specifications.
  16. Manage the processing of food orders, receipt, and storage of deliveries.
  17. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding areas.
  18. Ensure correct use of all machinery and equipment.
  19. Perform other general tasks to support effective food service delivery as reasonably requested.

  • Previous catering management experience in a similar role, including client management.
  • Culinary background is essential.
  • Passionate about working in a food service environment.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work positively with others as part of a team.
  • Friendly, helpful, and polite demeanor.
  • Good mentoring skills.
