Job summary

Richmond Hill Academy in the GORSE trust is seeking a Catering Manager to lead the in-house catering service for students, staff and visitors. You will run daily kitchen and dining operations, ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene and customer service, and supervise a small team while monitoring stock and budgets.

This term-time role also focuses on healthy eating, compliance with HACCP and food safety rules, and collaboration with the Trust Catering Manager.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety or Food Hygiene Certificate, or willingness to achieve Level 3 if not held.
• Experience working in a busy catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience of stock control, ordering and budget monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the academy kitchen and dining facilities.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, food safety and customer service.
• Lead and support the catering team.
• Manage food production and service.
• Monitor budgets and stock.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and trust policies.
• Work closely with the Trust Catering Manager.
• Promote healthy eating.
• Help students enjoy safe, nutritious and appealing meals each day.
