We are currently recruiting for a Catering Manager to work at a prestigious workplace site in Bristol.

Location: BS1 5LF

Rate of pay: £36,500 per annum

Working pattern: 40 hours per week, 7am - 3.30pm, Monday - Friday

About The Role:

Our QSD concept aims to bring the High Street feel into the workplace with fresh, daily meals that are nutritious, well-balanced, and suitable for a fast-paced work environment. Gather & Gather also offers weekly hot counter “Pop Ups” including dishes from our Pizza station, along with fresh baked goods and daily office hospitality menus.

As our Catering Manager, you will have a strong chef background combined with a passion for FOH customer service. You will be hands-on, leading from the front, driving standards and customer experience. You will ensure your Head Chef and team use the freshest, seasonal ingredients to create daily menus. You will oversee coffee quality, baked goods, retail displays, and ensure customer satisfaction is central to all activities. You will demonstrate strong coaching skills to develop your team and build solid client and customer relationships to support business growth. Additionally, you will oversee financials to meet business targets and budgets.

Key responsibilities:

Food and Service Development

  • Ensure client expectations for food and service are consistently met and aligned with the CH&CO brand.
  • Set clear standards for staff regarding food and service quality.
  • Regularly review service and food offerings, providing feedback and implementing necessary improvements.

Relationship Management

  • Be the primary contact for client comments and concerns, taking appropriate actions.
  • Actively gather and use customer feedback to enhance the offering.

Finance

  • Achieve financial targets in line with the client agreement and budget.
  • Address any shortfalls with strategic actions promptly.
  • Maximize income through effective purchasing, marketing, and revenue/waste control.

Managing/Developing a Team

  • Provide performance management and appraisals for FOH staff and the Head Chef.
  • Ensure comprehensive induction, training, and ongoing development for all FOH staff.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with relevant teams to meet these needs.

Health & Safety

  • Stay updated on COSHH and HACCP procedures and practices.
