Overview

Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN) is seeking a passionate Catering Manager to join the central services team to ensure our schools provide nutritious, high-quality meals and a positive dining experience for pupils. Based predominately at Mendip Green Primary School.

Hours: 35 hours, Monday-Friday, term-time. Actual salary: E4, £21,840.97. Interview: 20 October 2025.

Responsibilities

• Adapt the trusts menus to the requirements of the school, considering cost and nutritional standards.


• Ensure that all food is produced as per the menu and quantities meet service requirements.


• Identify stock requirements and place orders using nominated suppliers.


• Ensure that all food at the point of service meets the required standard.


• Supervise the teams in terms of allocation of duties, set standards, communicate effectively and motivate individuals.


• Attend training sessions, meetings and parent evenings related to duties.


• Maintain sound knowledge of health and safety practices.
