Job Details

• Job Title: Catering Manager
• Location: Manor House School, Slinfold, Horsham, RH13 0QX
• Salary: Up to GBP28,000 per annum plus Welcome Bonus
• Hours: 35 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 07:00am - 02:00pm
• Start Date: September 2025
• Contract: Permanent, Term Time plus 2 weeks

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Catering Manager to join our team at Manor House School in Slinfold.

Welcome bonus GBP1,000: GBP500 paid after 3 months, GBP500 after successful probation (6 months). T&Cs apply.

Main Purpose of the Job

The post holder will support the proactive management of the school, providing a clean, hygienic, and well-presented environment to ensure safety for pupils, staff, visitors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the kitchen operations.
2. Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture, and cleaning/dismantling after service.
3. Prepare the service area, hot cupboards, and equipment for meal service.
4. Lead in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages.
5. Serve food according to the style and type of operation.
6. Wash dishes, cutlery, and other catering equipment.
7. Clean catering areas daily and carry out routine cleaning as scheduled.
8. Assist in managing cleaning materials stocks and reordering, following school policies.
