Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Catering Manager to join our team at Ipswich Hospital. You’ll take the lead in managing the delivery of high-quality patient dining and retail services – ensuring food quality, safety, and service standards are consistently upheld.

- Lead, motivate and develop catering and retail teams to deliver an outstanding service
- Oversee patient feeding services and retail catering to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality
- Collaborate closely with domestic services to manage meal service delivery on wards
- Manage all aspects of food provision, stock levels, labour costs and budgets in line with Sodexo policy
- Ensure all legal, safety and food hygiene standards (including HACCP) are adhered to
- Conduct audits, deliver training, manage complaints, and drive continuous service improvement
- Lead with innovation to reduce waste and improve customer satisfaction
- Operate and manage the patient menu system (Saffron) ensuring up-to-date and accurate data
- Proven experience managing catering services in a healthcare or service-led environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train, inspire and manage teams
- Sound knowledge of food safety legislation, Health & Safety regulations, and HACCP systems
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to a 7-day operational service
- Excellent IT and reporting skills, with an analytical mindset to monitor and improve service delivery
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance
