Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is hiring a Catering Manager for CH&CO on a full-time basis, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, days. The role runs 44.6 weeks per year and leads the catering operation from kitchen to counter, building a strong team to deliver exceptional food and service.

You will oversee stock, budgets, and action plans, train staff, and drive sales through new concepts while maintaining high health and safety standards across all teams.

Qualifications

• Two years in catering, including team management.
• NVQ 1/2 or City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, plus Basic Food Hygiene.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

About the role

We're currently recruiting a Catering Manager to join CH&CO on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, days.

You'll lead the catering operation, from the kitchen to the counter, building a great team and delivering food and service our clients and customers love.

Please note: This role is contracted to 44.6 weeks per year

What you'll do

• Leading our catering teams to keep delivering impeccable food and customer service
• Overseeing all in-unit catering operations, including stock, budgets and action plans
• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front so everyone can excel
• Identifying new food and service concepts to drive sales
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams

About you

Our ideal Catering Manager will:

• Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
• Have at least two years' catering experience, including managing teams
• Hold an NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2, and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be ambitious and always looking to upskill
