Overview

Guru Nanak Sikh Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced School Catering Manager to lead our kitchen team and deliver high-quality, nutritious meals to our students and staff. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the school kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and creating a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and oversee the production of nutritious and balanced meals.
  • Develop seasonal menus that meet dietary guidelines and cater to diverse dietary needs.
  • Lead, train, and manage the catering team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety compliance.
  • Manage stock control, procurement, and budget adherence.
  • Ensure excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
  • Monitor food waste and implement sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in catering management, ideally within a school or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of dietary and nutritional requirements for children.
  • Food hygiene and safety certification (Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Budget management and stock control experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Passion for creating delicious and healthy meals.
  • Must have knowledge and teaching experience of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
