Exemplar Health Care is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Jubilee Heights in Bury. In this role, you'll create and manage delicious, nutritious menus while leading the Catering Team in a brand new kitchen.

Contract type: Full Time 40 hours per week

Rate: £14.80 per hour

Overview

Are you an experienced cook with a flair for creating delicious, nutritious menus? Join us as our new Catering Manager at Jubilee Heights care home in Bury.

As our Catering Manager, you’ll have the creative freedom to design and make healthy and inviting meals for the people we support within our brand new purpose built kitchen.

You’ll lead the Catering Team to develop exciting menus and have the unique opportunity to help shape the team’s culture from the start.

About the role

Our Catering Manager cooks delicious and nourishing meals for people with a range of dietary requirements.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen
• Preparing, cooking and serving food
• Understanding people’s needs, likes and choices to develop suitable menus
• Ensuring the Catering Team complies with food hygiene standards
• Completing relevant checks and maintaining records
• Controlling stock and purchases within an allocated budget
• Leading and managing the Catering Team, ensuring they receive induction, training and support as required

Qualifications

We look for a cook with a flair for creating delicious and nutritious meals for varied dietary requirements and who is:

• Creative in menu development and food preparation
• An excellent team player, able to coordinate, support and motivate a team
• Experienced in managing a catering budget
• Adaptable and flexible
• Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working towards, or hold, a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification
• Having previous experience in a similar management position, ideally leading a catering or kitchen team
