Job summary

Exemplar Health Care in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a Catering Manager to lead the in-house catering team at Acer Mews. You’ll create nutritious menus, manage day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure meals meet dietary needs and safety standards.

The role is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, paying £14.80 per hour. You’ll oversee budgeting, stock control and staff development, with a focus on quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook with a flair for nutritious meals.
• Creative in menu development and food preparation.
• Excellent team player, able to coordinate, support and motivate a team.
• Experience in managing a catering budget.
• Adaptable and flexible.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification, or working towards it.
• Previous experience in a similar management position and environment, ideally in a care setting.
