Job summary

Baxterstorey UK is seeking an energetic catering assistant to support breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner service for students and staff in Swindon with travel to Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke as required. Barista duties and front-of-house care are part of the role.

You will join a team focused on food safety, customer service and efficient meal service in a busy campus environment, with overtime opportunities during events.

Qualifications

• Ideally experience in catering roles.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Barista work
• Overtime offered when events on site
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
• This role is mainly Swindon but may need to go to Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke (travel paid)
