Job summary

Compass Group UK is seeking an Operations Manager to lead all catering operations at the SEC, delivering high-profile events with a focus on efficiency, quality, and technology. You will manage a team across retail, hospitality and restaurant services, ensuring standards are met and the guest experience is exceptional.

You will meet clients early, partner with events planning, handle setup, delivery and debrief, and drive profitability while maintaining health, safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Two years minimum in a Management role with event P&L accountability in high-volume quality food service and/or conference and event catering.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Strong IT skills and ability to analyze data and use systems.
• Sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Food Safety in a foodservice environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Fully flexible and willing to adapt to changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead catering operations at the SEC, delivering high-profile events with efficiency and quality.
• Manage a team across concessions, retail, hospitality and restaurant services.
• Consult with clients and plan events with our planning team, then deliver on the day.
• Develop budgets and planning for future Capex/Opex and monitor costs.
• Oversee health, safety and privacy compliance and report hazards immediately.
