Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

Job Summary

As a Catering Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that catering operations meet required standards and financial goals.

This position requires Monday through Friday availability.

Some key responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements catering service standards and standards of operation for the department.
  • Identifies client/guest needs and interacts in a positive, proactive manner
  • Responsible for ensuring that customer complaints are appropriately handles and rectified
  • Manages daily catered functions
  • Oversees the maintenance of adequate equipment, product, and decoration inventories.
  • Plans menus, layout, decor, and booking entertainment (when appropriate) for catered events.
  • Operates within the budget.
  • Manages a team- hires, trains, coaches, counsels and provides progressive discipline, as needed.
  • Collaborates and supports Director of Catering Services and Executive Chef in planning events
  • Maintains accurate tracking and billing systems for catered events
  • Disseminates information to all concerned department heads and staff members through preparation and distribution of detailed function sheets at regularly scheduled intervals
  • Oversees sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of food and industry trends
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing catering events in a high volume, luxury F&B environment
  • ServSafe certification, recommended
  • Superior communication and problem-solving/strategizing skills
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
